The Hitman is a five reel, 15 pay line video slot game played with coin values from one cent to twenty-five cents. From the coin value aspect it is a great game for small wallets.
This game is based on the well known Playstation and X-Box console game called Hitman which should promise a great reception by gamblers who play slots online.

Although the software is Microgaming's high quality online casino software, the graphics are licensed from the original game's producer, Eidos, so the quality is just as good, if not better, than the actual console game. Hitman revolves around a guy called Agent 47 who is a deadly assassin available for hire. In the animated introductory clip to the game, he tells you that he "always gets the job done and nothing can stop him!"

Although Hitman has no gamble feature, there are lots of bonus features including wild expanding symbols, free spins and two bonus games. Unfortunately, everything revolves around violence and killing which doesn't hold much appeal to me personally.

The Special Features of Hitman

It seems that today you can't play slots online without having a slew of special features and these are definitely not lacking in Hitman. The symbols appearing on the five reels are created from various images of Agent 47 at work at his assassinations plus a whole range of weapons he might choose to use: sniper rifle, knife, handgun, wire garotte and lethal injection.

Wild Symbol - the Hitman, with two guns, is the wild symbol. It can substitute for any other symbol, except the scatter, to create winning combinations. However, the wild symbol only appears on reels 2, 3 and 4. The wild symbol in this game has a special "expanding" feature which means that it can cover any spaces on the reel that would make a winning combination. When this happens there are extremely effective graphics and sound effects which make this feature very exciting.

Scatter Symbol - the number "18" is the scatter symbol which triggers the Free Spin feature if three or more of them show up anywhere on any reel.

Free Spin Feature - this feature is activated by the show of three or more of the scatter "18". You are awarded 18 free spins, and any winnings during these free spins are all doubled. Now that is a great way to play slots!

Bonus Symbols - Hitman has two bonus symbols: the Laptop and the Insignia. Each one triggers its own bonus game.

The first bonus game triggered when the Laptop lands on reels 3, 4 and 5 is called the Contract Bonus. You are presented with a group of targets described by a very British lady with an Oxford English accent. You choose one target and then you choose your favored weapon. You carry out the assassination and are then scored and given points based on how well your "hit" was managed, also based on the bonus value of your chosen target and the multiplier value of your weapon. A bit confusing perhaps, but you can win up to 270,000 coins in this bonus game.

The second bonus game is far simpler. It is triggered by getting the Insignia symbol on reels 1, 2 and 3. In this game all you do is pick one of the Insignia, click on it, and you receive the prize amount which is hidden underneath.

All of these features together with the unusual and exciting graphics and sounds may make the Hitman a big hit with online gamblers who play slots, but for me it is a bit too violent.
